Mauritania Healthcare Congress

Mauritania Healthcare Congress 2024 was one of the most transformative and international experiences I’ve had. Hosted in Nouakchott, this project brought together professionals from France, Algeria, Morocco, and Mauritania—and I was honored to lead the digital infrastructure powered by AI.

AI in Healthcare

International Event

Know More

The Congress gathered healthcare leaders, researchers, and ministries under one roof to explore the future of healthcare in the Arab and African region. My role was to build and operate a fully AI-integrated experience—from ticketing systems to live AI speakers and real-time language translation white-labeled to Infinity Softwares.

One Week, One Vision, Full AI Integration

Spending a full week on-ground in Mauritania, I collaborated closely with a multicultural team to build the congress’s digital backbone. Here’s what I developed:

  • Smart Ticketing System – Visitors could generate, access, and manage their entry tickets online.

  • Dr. Einstein – AI Speaker Agent – Instead of a human giving the opening talk about AI’s impact on healthcare, we let AI speak for itself. The audience watched in awe as Dr. Einstein—an AI agent I built—delivered a fully autonomous talk, engaging with live Q&A afterward in video form.

  • AI-Powered Live Translation – For the first time in the region, attendees accessed real-time translated audio directly on their phones. As the speaker talked, AI would translate and pronounce it instantly in the selected language. No headsets. No delay. Zero cost. It stunned the audience.

  • AI Navigation & Healthcare Q&A Assistant – Inside the congress venue, an AI agent was deployed to help visitors navigate the location and answer medical-related questions in a conversational tone. It was like having a multilingual, knowledgeable assistant in every pocket.

The highlight of the event was when Dr. Einstein, the AI, engaged in dialogue with real speakers and answered spontaneous questions from the crowd—on stage, live, and in video form.

The energy in the room, the audience reactions, the local media coverage—it became the talk of the nation. Truly, one of my proudest moments to see AI not just being used, but being understood, appreciated, and experienced on that scale.

Problem

Most healthcare congresses are traditional in format—long registration lines, static presentations, and language barriers between attendees from different countries.

The challenge was to modernize this experience while making it accessible, interactive, and multilingual—in a region not yet fully exposed to real-time AI solutions.

Solution

By building an integrated AI environment from scratch, I was able to

  • Digitalize the entire ticketing and attendance flow

  • Allow AI to educate and engage as a speaker

  • Break the language barrier with on-demand live translation

  • Support and simplify navigation and information access with AI agents

This wasn’t just a tech implementation—it was a proof of concept that AI can deeply humanize and scale healthcare events.

Concept

The idea behind this project was simple: Let AI power every touchpoint of the congress, from entry to education to engagement.

Inspired by my ongoing work on Dr. Einstein and large-scale congresses like IHTC, I envisioned a congress where AI doesn’t just support, but leads—talks to attendees, answers questions, translates speech, and makes the entire event feel alive and intelligent.

Working directly with organizers and government entities, I had the chance to show how AI can be implemented in real-world, real-time scenarios, at scale, in a country that hadn’t seen anything like this before.

This was not just a tech project. It was a milestone—for Mauritania, for AI, and for me.
